"The fan in the "America" sweater who caught Andersson's silver medal pitch gave the kid his silver medal back."

It wasn't an "America" sweater. It was a throwback New York Americans sweater. They played in the NHL from 1925 to 1942, and in their last year were known as the Brooklyn Americans.

Not that a pretend "journalist" could be bothered to know such things.

I love that Andersson threw the silver medal. I don't care if it looked childish. The guy just made a public statement saying that 2nd is good enough. Good for him.

That brown hit was ridiculous. That could have easily broken Schultz's neck. And, the refs already know that Malkin can get dirty as can Crosby. It's not going to bring any more attention to him. He's a superstar. He could do the same thing to brown next time and they're not going to penalize him..... Just like browns not going to get that suspension.

If hockey were an individual sport then yes, I would agree. The fact that it is a team sport makes this look bad. Not childish but rather a bad teammate. Even if Andersson was the best player on the ice on either team (which I do not think was the case) either some of the other players on his team were not as good as the Canadian players or the team as whole was not as good. He needs to just accept it an move on. That attitude won't work in the NHL.
